If you need a certified copy of a marriage record/certificate from a parish other than Orleans Parish, you must contact the Clerk of Court in that parish. An alphabetical list of Clerks of Court in Louisiana by parish is available here.

Information includes the name of the Clerk of Court, the physical and mailing address, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail address.

The Louisiana Vital Records Registry maintains marriage records ONLY for marriage licenses that were purchased in Orleans Parish. Comprehensive information about obtaining an Orleans Parish Marriage License is available online here.

If you would like to order an Orleans Parish Marriage Certificate but the ceremony occurred more than 50 years ago, you must submit your order to the Office of the Secretary of State:
